This skincare trio by Edenbelle Beauty is a milk-based product line consisting of lactic acid formulas to provide gentle chemical exfoliation and brightening of the skin. I found this skincare line in an ad when this company had just recently launched these products and/or packaging and was looking for people to try it out and complete a survey. The total value of these three products was $125, but all I had to do was pay $7 shipping. $7 for an entire full-size skincare trio is an absolute steal! In fact, I was skeptical because there's no way it will be good if I'm getting it for this cheap. But I'll be honest; this was one of my best skin care experiences. It was so much fun to use these products, and th...

So, I was looking for a good skin care company to work with that had great ingredients and followed the same values that I did. During my research, I came across HelloBody. HelloBody is a cruelty-free, clean beauty company based in Berlin, Germany, that operates worldwide. The first thing that caught my eye was obviously the brand's aesthetic: the bright and summery colors and the different plant-based lines. This brand has products that all branch out from four main lines: The ROSE line for combination to oily skin, the ALOE line for normal to dehydrated skin, the CARA line for sensitive skin, and the COCOS line for normal to dry skin. After looking through what could be best for my skin, I purchased some products from the COCOS line, which consisted of a cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and a face mask. I got it for 50% off, around $52, which is a really good price. I got this discount because I signed up to try it out before becoming an ambassador and telling others to use these products. It would have been a really fantastic price even if I had bought it at full price for $100, give or take. Especially for how good it is and considering the price points of other brands I have tried, which could be better. Let's break the products down one by one:

COCOS FRESH Mild Face Cleansing Foam: The pump on this was absolutely phenomenal, and this product foamed like crazy, making it very easy to spread around the skin without any tugging. I used about 1 to 2 pumps, and the first thing I noticed was that it had a distinct and sweet coconut smell. The great thing about this cleanser is that usually, I've noticed that cleansers that foam a lot can be drying to my skin, but this one did not leave my skin feeling dry at all after I washed it off. Instead, it felt smooth and moisturized. If you take a look at the ingredients list, at the top of the list, you'll find natural fragrance, and towards the bottom, you'll discover isopropyl alcohol. Now, these ingredients aren't necessarily harmful in small amounts, but those with sensitive skin or dry skin might want to be careful while using products with these ingredients as they could irritate their face. Because this cleanser contains AHAs, you wouldn't be able to use it every single day- especially not at first- but I did notice that the instructions say to use it in the morning and evening. If you ask any dermatologist or skin care specialist, they will say that AHAs are only supposed to be used a couple times a week because they might over-strip your face since they are a chemical exfoliator. I noticed that if I used it for more than 2 to 3 days in a row, my skin would break out slightly, or I would see a slight redness. But as long as I used this cleanser to the comfort of my own skin, it was positively radiant, glowing, and bright. I'll give this an 8/10.

COCOS CALM Soothing Face Toner: I noticed that this brand is really about the skin care experience when it comes not only to the ingredients and the aesthetics but also to the scent. All their products have powerful, sweet smells, especially this toner. It was significantly sweet. Fragrance is one of the top ingredients in this product. Still, it also has hyaluronic acid and niacinamide, which are really great ingredients for locking in moisture and evening out the skin tone. This toner was very soothing on the skin and made my face feel tight after using it, but not in a dry way, more like in a firming way. 7/10.

COCOS DAY Moisturising Face Cream: The moisturizer doesn't really smell that good compared to the other products. However, that may be because the 'natural fragrance' ingredient is towards the bottom of the ingredients list. It has potent and nourishing ingredients like shea butter, avocado oil, Glycerin, jojoba oil, and niacinamide. The interesting thing about using this moisturizer was that right after I applied it, my face would burn a little bit and feel tight, but after a while, it would all return to normal. And I'm assuming that tightness was because of the active ingredients and the chemical reactions between the products. I was pleased with this moisturizer; the texture was a perfect creamy consistency. 7/10.

COCOS CLEAR Purifying Mud Mask: This mask is a really dark brown color but has this overwhelming artificial coconut scent that doesn't belong there. It's just an unnecessary addition to the mask. But when I used it, my face looked bright afterward, and I felt quite nourished. This mask wasn't drying, and the ingredients were good overall. Average ingredients- nothing too remarkable, but nothing terrible. I did love the brush applicator that it came with, and I use it for all my masks now!
Overall, I definitely enjoyed my experience with HelloBody. It was one of the few companies with a fair price tag and an enjoyable spa-like experience. Not only were the ingredients really worthwhile and effective, but the experience itself was also really amazing. I sometimes noticed that companies like Clinique, Cerave, and Curology do their job, and they're fragrance-free, and their packaging is simple, which is totally okay. I love those companies and use them all the time, but this was a great all-in-one package deal that gave you effective skincare, fantastic packaging, and aesthetics and smells that made you feel like you were on vacation. The company also has wonderful oils, eye creams, and scrubs that I hope to get my hands on soon! However, I'd steer clear of the Coffee Face Scrub because I wouldn't recommend exfoliating your skin with such an abrasive material.
One thing I do have to say, though, is that for a company that uses AHA's, which can be pretty sensitizing, they should also have an SPF to go with the set because that is one of the most important steps for skincare and it would be a great way to educate their customers.
